Senior HR Business Partner – UNFPA (Dakar, Senegal)

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner will act as the primary liaison between UNFPA business units and the Human Resources function, delivering strategic HR client services and driving key HR programmes across the client area. Reporting to the Deputy HR Director, the role supports the implementation of the UNFPA Strategic Plan and ensures HR initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the interface between business units and HR, providing strategic guidance and client‑focused support.
• Lead and coordinate the consistent implementation of core HR processes across designated regions.
• Guide client managers in applying HR policies and practices equitably.
• Contribute to the development of HR policies and initiatives that reflect evolving business needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of HR services in partnership with business leaders.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in human resources within an international or multilateral organization.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to organisational goals.
• Proven ability to manage the business‑HR interface and influence client managers.
• Experience coordinating HR processes across multiple regions or locations.
