Supply Chain Officer – Dakar

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will support the Regional Procurement Management for the Africa region, ensuring the efficient tactical and strategic procurement of goods and services needed for IFRC operations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, GHS&SCM, Africa, the role is based in Dakar, Senegal and contributes to the delivery of humanitarian assistance across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake tactical and strategic procurement of goods and services for IFRC Operations Africa.
• Support regional tendering processes, ensuring compliance with IFRC procurement guidelines.
• Guarantee timely delivery and best value for money while monitoring key performance indicators.
• Coordinate with regional supply chain units and logistics hubs to align procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain functions, preferably in a humanitarian or international development context.
• Ability to work under supervision and meet defined KPIs and objectives.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with IFRC policies, tendering procedures, and regional logistics operations.
