Worker Engagement Specialist (Freelance, Africa)

About the role

Ulula, a subsidiary of EcoVadis, is seeking a freelance Worker Engagement Specialist to lead digital worker voice programs across French‑speaking African nations. The role is part‑time, remote and supports the company’s mission to improve working conditions in mining, manufacturing and agribusiness through technology‑enabled stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage digital worker engagement platforms with suppliers, both virtually and on‑site where possible.
• Secure management buy‑in, deliver platform training to supplier teams and promote worker participation.
• Handle grievance cases through the digital grievance mechanism, coordinating with suppliers and client brands.
• Provide investigation and remediation support when requested by brands.
• Collaborate with Ulula’s global Client Services team, including evening meetings with colleagues in Canada and Europe.

Required profile

• Based in one of the listed African countries (e.g., Algeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Morocco, etc.).
• Background in social compliance, workers’ rights or supplier engagement.
• Strong interest and ability to use digital tools for stakeholder interaction.
• Flexible, agile and comfortable working remotely with an international team.
