Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager reports to the General Manager and provides strategic direction for procurement, warehousing, logistics, and inventory control to ensure uninterrupted, cost‑effective mining operations. This role oversees commercial contracts, optimises working capital and implements best practices across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement processes, from sourcing to delivery, and resolve non‑conformance and payment issues.
• Develop and improve procurement plans, procedures and documentation, and execute strategic supply‑chain plans to reduce operating and capital costs.
• Identify and maintain a list of approved suppliers, and support internal customers with material and spare‑part requirements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and purchasing policies, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Define key performance indicators and allocate resources to meet objectives, including cost‑saving and supplier rationalisation goals.
• Prepare and monitor the procurement and inventory operating budgets.
• Review non‑compliance incidents, investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage warehouse and site logistics, overseeing daily inventory issues, receiving deviations, cycle‑counting and ad‑hoc statistical inventory checks.
• Develop local procurement plans to promote national companies in line with the local content development policy.
