HR Business Partner – People Experience

About the role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) joins PATH’s Global Health Programs division to provide relationship‑centered, growth‑oriented HR advisory across Africa, Asia and the Americas. Working in a complex, donor‑funded environment, the HRBP partners with managers and leaders to shape people strategies that support programmatic growth and multi‑country operations.

Key responsibilities

• Align HR initiatives with business strategy, translating program priorities into talent plans that reflect donor‑funded cycles and fluctuating workforce needs.
• Support workforce planning for program start‑ups, scale‑ups, transitions and close‑outs, advising on team structure, role clarity and succession readiness.
• Identify early people risks such as misalignment or morale challenges and escalate complex issues to senior HR leadership.
• Coach managers on communication, performance leadership and cross‑cultural relationship‑building, preparing them for sensitive conversations.
• Facilitate divisional transitions, restructuring and role changes with clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Act as a culture ambassador, reinforcing desired leadership behaviours and contributing to engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in HR advisory within global, multi‑country or donor‑funded organizations.
• Strong judgment, cultural agility and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders, translate business needs into people solutions, and influence organizational design.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills, especially in cross‑cultural contexts.
