Human Resources Manager

About the role

The ICRC regional delegation in Dakar is recruiting an experienced, highly motivated and qualified Human Resources Manager. The HRM plans, organises and monitors HR activities for the Dakar and Algiers delegations, ensuring that HR plans and programmes are administered, coordinated and evaluated effectively, and that HR strategies stay aligned with the organisation's priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic partner to regional management and contribute to HR strategies, objectives and the annual HR budget
• Maintain and develop HR processes, policies and tools, and oversee HR service providers as line manager
• Coach HR service providers, line managers and the management team in good HR-management practices
• Solve technical, operational and organisational problems and act as focal point for staff on HR developments
• Build relationships with stakeholders, including local labour authorities and HR service providers, and promote an inclusive, diverse workforce and a healthy work/life balance

Required profile

• University diploma
• At least 10 years of experience in human resources, preferably in the humanitarian area
• Perfect command of French (written and spoken) and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
• Very good knowledge of English is an asset
• Leadership, team spirit, sense of responsibility, good communication and ability to work independently
