About the role

The Managing Director / Head of Country Operations leads the organisation’s local entity, ensuring alignment with global strategy, governance and performance expectations. This senior leader is accountable for business results, operational excellence and compliance within the country.

Key responsibilities

• Translate global and regional strategy into a clear, actionable country‑level business plan.
• Own the country’s financial performance, driving revenue growth, profitability and margin improvement through disciplined pricing and cost management.
• Ensure operational excellence by optimising processes, maintaining high‑quality standards and implementing effective systems and controls.
• Guarantee compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and governance standards while embedding robust risk‑management practices.
• Build, develop and inspire a high‑performing management team aligned with corporate values and local market dynamics.
• Strengthen strategic relationships with key clients, government entities, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Identify new market opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams; lead sales and business‑development initiatives.
• Provide transparent reporting to regional leadership and ensure consistent execution of strategic priorities.
• Lead crisis‑management and business‑continuity efforts to protect people, operations and reputation.
