Marketing Intern - Brand Activation (WACA)

About the role

Bel, a major player in the food industry and one of the world's leaders in branded cheese, is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Brand Activation Intern. The intern contributes to the development of The Laughing Cow brand across consumption occasions such as snacking, breakfast and cooking, in a hybrid environment covering modern and traditional trade in West and Central Africa (WACA). The role sits under the supervision of the Brand Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of advertising and promotional plans for priority countries and coordinate annual plans with the Brand Manager and local agencies.
• Support and monitor offline and online media plans (TV, outdoor, radio, digital, social media, street activations), with Senegal as a priority market, and help create distinctive social media content with the media agency.
• Support new product launches, including the rollout of activation plans by country.
• Monitor competitors and market trends, and analyze activation performance, including sales results and consumer insights.
• Manage volumes generated by activation, engagement from campaigns and the advertising and promotion budget.

Required profile

• 2-year post-secondary qualification (BAC+2 or equivalent) in Marketing Management / Communication.
• 1 to 2 years of marketing experience, ideally complemented by sales experience in modern and traditional trade.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and agile environment, with a collaborative mindset and good analytical and synthesis skills.

Required skills

• Good command of communication platforms, especially social media, advertising development and content creation.
• Ability to support and monitor media plans, and to carry out competitive intelligence and market monitoring.
