Regional People & Culture Director

About the role

VisionFund, the micro‑finance arm of World Vision, is seeking a Regional People & Culture Director to lead HR and organisational development across its West Africa cluster (Senegal, Mali and Ghana). Reporting to the Global Director of People & Culture and matrix‑reporting to the Regional Director, the role will shape people strategy, build leadership capacity and ensure alignment with VisionFund’s mission to end intergenerational poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction, oversight and capacity‑building for People & Culture functions in the assigned region.
• Act as trusted advisor to the Regional Director and the Boards of the MFIs on senior‑management talent decisions.
• Oversee people‑related processes, RACI matrices and ensure consistency and quality across the regional MFIs.
• Lead, develop and manage a team of regional People & Culture Managers.
• Collaborate with Global Centres of Expertise and external networks to strengthen VisionFund’s brand and capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in Human Resources or People & Culture leadership, preferably in the micro‑finance or development sector.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and board members.
• Strong track record of building high‑performing HR teams and driving organisational change.
• Fluent in English and French.
