Safeguarding & Ethical Leadership Coordinator

About the role

The Safeguarding and Ethical Leadership Coordinator supports the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of safeguarding work with MSF boards and associations. The role translates safeguarding principles into practical, measurable actions across the movement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination, implementation and training on Ethical Leadership Minimum Standards (ELMS) and safeguarding for boards and associative structures.
• Develop guidance, tools, frameworks and templates to operationalise safeguarding commitments.
• Drive culture change by integrating safeguarding as a core practice and strengthening accountability among board members.
• Monitor implementation progress, identify risks, produce reports and dashboards, and lead learning initiatives.
• Coordinate frameworks for handling ELMS and safeguarding complaints involving senior leadership, ensuring proper case management and decision‑making panels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safeguarding, ethical governance or related fields within international organisations.
• Strong coordination and project‑management skills, with ability to develop actionable documents and training materials.
• Experience working with senior leadership, boards or associative networks.
• Ability to analyse implementation challenges and produce strategic recommendations.
